Emirates & Air India or Air India Express flights do not require OK To Board if holding Passports with ECNR status. However, OK To Board is required only if the Passenger holds Passport with ECR status.

UAE Visit Visa permits a traveller to stay in UAE for 90 days from the time of arrival in UAE. The traveller needs to get an invitation letter from his relative in UAE along with their proof of residence to apply for Visit Visa. The visa processing time is between 5-6 working days (excluding Friday & Saturday). The visa is valid for 60 days from the date of issue.

The traveller requires to submit the below listed documents for UAE Visa:

  1. Copy of return air ticket,
  2. A scanned copy of traveller’s first and last page of the passport.(Passport must be valid for 6 months from the date of travel)
  3. Traveller’s passport-size photograph, taken against a white background.

Most International airlines flying to Dubai or Sharjah airport requires an “OK to Board” confirmation from the visa agency before they allow a passenger to board the aircraft. Dubai eVisa team updates the airline with an “OK to Board” note post approval of the Visa by UAE Embassy.

The UAE Embassy does not issue visas on ordinary/normal passports.Tourist visa for an Indian National, holding an ordinary passport, is arranged by a sponsor in UAE. It can also be obtained through DubaieVISA.

Once you have submitted your application for UAE Visa & made the payment, it cannot be cancelled.

When applying for UAE visa the below mentioned reasons are the most common ones why UAE visa gets rejected or disapproved.

  1. Female applicants below 22 years who are not accompanied by their parents or relatives might receive rejection or delay of approval in the UAE visa application.
  2. Applying for visa in UAE with unskilled profession stated in the passport such as labourer, farmer or service might get rejected.
  3. Applicants with previous criminal offense, fraud or miss conduct committed are blacklisted in the UAE Immigration and hence will be rejected automatically.
  4. Applicant who has previously received a UAE visa but did not enter UAE. In such cases, the new UAE visa application might get rejected as the previous UAE visa needs to be cancelled first. In order to get an approval for the new UAE visa application, the PRO of the applied travel agency or sponsor must go to the UAE Immigration to clear the previous UAE visa application. The UAE tourist visa gets expired within 60 days.
  5. If any applicants applied for a UAE Employment visa by any company in UAE but did not enter the country then a new tourist or visit visa cannot be applied for at least

Return of Minor Child: Covers the return cost of your minor child to your home location, in case you’re hospitalized and travelling alone with your child/children.

Up-gradation To Business Class: Compensates for up-gradation to business class for return air travel, in case of hospitalization for over five consecutive days, due to injury sustained whilst on a trip.

2-way Compassionate Visit: Covers transportation expenses for one immediate family member to travel to the insured’s current location.

Daily Allowance in case of Hospitalization: Pays for (a specified amount per day of stay at the hospital) numerous allied expenses such as attendant’s meals, transportation and communication incurred but not covered under your Policy.

Personal Liability: Covers expenses against legal liability for bodily injury or property damage that occurred accidentally to third parties during your trip.

Loss of Passport: Covers expenses for the issue of a new or duplicate passport.

Loss of Checked-In Baggage: Covers expenses for your checked-in baggage that you lost while in custody of the Common Carrier. Delay of Checked-In Baggage: Covers expenses in case of a delay in receipt of the checked-in baggage beyond 12 consecutive hours.

Trip Delay: Covers expenses incurred if your departure is delayed beyond 12 consecutive hours due to specified reasons/issues.

Trip Cancellation & Interruption: We cover financial loss incurred out of cancellation of your trip due to an unforeseen event arising due to specified manmade or natural situations.

Dental Expenses: Covers dental expenses incurred in connection with any injury while on your trip.

Personal Accident: Covers any unfortunate situation arising out of an accident, death or permanent total disability, while you’re traveling abroad. What if the aircraft you’re traveling in is involved in a mid-air mishap? Common Carrier Accidental Death: Lump sum payment of Sum Insured in case of accidental death as a passenger on a common carrier/transport.

Medical Evacuation: Covers all costs incurred for any emergency transportation and evacuation services, to transfer you to an appropriate medical facility within our network.

Medical Cover: Covers your hospitalization or treatment if during your travel you are diagnosed with an illness, or any previous illness reoccurs. In case you require further treatment even after your return, expenses for the same will be covered up to a period of 30 days or up to policy end date, whichever is earlier. What’s more! In case of accidental hospitalization, your policy Sum Insured is doubled.

Ok To Board (OTB) is an airline requirement. Traveling to Dubai your PNR must be marked with OK to board from respective airline. 

“OK to Board” approval is only required for Indian citizens, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh or Pakistan who are traveling from their respective country of citizenship.

Due to an expansion in fake visas to UAE, many Indian passengers were deported back in the past. In order to control the fake visa issuance; airlines and sponsors double check the UAE visa and air tickets before departure and after checking visa authenticity, airline update visa message in the respective PNR.

 The Airline verifies the Visa and then updates an Ok To Board message against the PNR. Airlines generally will take at least 24-48 working hours to update PNR after issuance of VISA.

If your flight ticket is not showing an OK to Board than the airline has the authority to deny entry on the aircraft. Passenger has to pay any liabilities/cancellation cost if his entry is denied.
